Habitat For Humanity Work Day a Success!

On Saturday, September 20th, a group of 11 volunteers from Temple Lutheran Church in Havertown, PA spent the day building a Habitat for Humanity house in nearby Chester, PA. The project is a part of a partnership between Habitat for Humanity, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and several Lutheran congregations from Delaware County. The team at Temple Lutheran was coordinated by "Congregation Champions" Kevin and Christine Rieck. Fundraising for the project over the past six months included a special offering on Youth Sunday, a raffle of sports memorabilia and a gas card, and children's coin banks. Temple Lutheran was given a goal to raise $800 for the project, but expects a final contribution of approximately $2,000!

Thank you to everyone who contributed, supported and worked to make this important project a success.
